Career Opportunities for ENVST Graduates
Because of the flexibility in the Environmental Studies major, students have an increased responsibility to decide what they want to achieve academically and professionally. Specialization options should be designed with the future in mind. A student who plans to enter graduate school may choose a different set of courses than one who seeks a job with a federal agency.

In the past, some Environmental Studies majors have gone to work for state or federal agencies in various capacities, such as data analysis, recreation managers, etc. Others have found work in environmental consulting firms or for non-profit organizations. Still others have gone on to law school or graduate study. There are almost unlimited possibilities for students in this major who are willing to work diligently toward a specific career goal.

Some students pursue career opportunities with environmental
non-profit organizations.
